If you have never read Letters to a Yount Poet you should. This is a mareverlous example of several things: there are good teachers in the world, there are those who care about others, there are people who are weilling to learn, and it is always good to seek wisdom where you can.
One of my favorite passages from this work is below, it is very inspiring for me:
"So you mustn't be frightened, dear Mr. Kappus, if a sadness rises in front of you, larger than any you have ever seen; if an anxiety, like light and cloud-shadows, moves over your hands and over everything you do. You must realize that something is happening to you, that life has not forgotten you, that it holds you in its hand and will not let you fall."
